Description | Robin Long Photography offers One and Two day purebaby™ Newborn Workshops in her Salem, Oregon studio, as well as one and two day traveling workshops throughout the world. During the workshop you will learn the basics of using natural light, pure and safe posing, soothing and calming the baby, advanced exposure techniques, business concepts, along with Robin’s unique pose-to-pose™ transitional techniques. purebaby™ is all about pure.natural.organic, so let’s dive into some wrapping techniques too! You’ll learn how to master exposure and white balance, as well as setting up for a complete newborn session plus a whole lot more! We’ll work through step-by-step post processing to achieve a nice clean edit that will take you on to developing your own unique style.
I believe in “hands-on” learning. That’s why I have developed the schedule to allow time for you to pose the baby yourself as part of our workshop. I will be right there by your side guiding and helping you all the way. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio with all the images from the workshop!

What you Need
Skill Level | all skill levels are welcome. A basic knowledge of Photoshop is highly encouraged- I will be using CS5 and ACR.
Camera | You must own a DSLR and know your camera. It is assumed that you are comfortable shooting in manual mode and have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings.
Lens | A basic 50mm lens is suggested for the session as this is what Robin primarily uses with newborns. A Macro lens is also suggested, though not required.
Laptop | not required, but is very helpful if you would like to work along side me while I demonstrate post processing.
Equipment | extra memory cards & battery
