I had the wonderful honor of photographing a beautiful birth of a gorgeous little girl, Eliza June, on July 18, 2010. Annie Manning of Paint the Moon Photography, asked me to be there for the birth of her and Scott’s 2nd baby girl. I was thrilled to oblige! What an experience for me! This was my first birth session and I can’t tell you how exciting it is to witness a miracle. Watching the love and connection Annie & Scott have for their little baby girl, and darling 4 yr old Addie, is incredible.
The moments I’ll remember…..
Addie was present during the birth and was right there holding her mommy’s hand the entire time.
Daddy was waiting eagerly ready to catch baby Eliza as she made her entrance in this big, beautiful world….
…and the moment when Daddy put on baby Eliza’s first nappy!
The sweet little hand of Addie’s that held her baby sister’s foot for the first time….
…and the look on Mommy’s face when Eliza was placed on her chest.
I can’t thank you both enough for allowing me to be there during this special moment in your lives. Thank you guys!!! xoxoxo

When I say “itty bitty”….I mean ITTY BITTY!! Landon came into the studio @ 11 days old and only 5lbs! He slept and was such a good baby the entire time! I’d have to say he gets his beauty from his mommy..isn’t she beautiful?
Landon loved this position…can you tell by the BIG SMILE on his face? ….hahaha…

When deciding to have your baby’s newborn portraits taken by a Professional Baby Photographer, schedule early! In fact, when you are pregnant is the BEST time to call and schedule. This will ensure that you can get your baby in to the studio when he/she is around 5-8 days old. This is the time I love to capture newborns….when they still love to sleep long and don’t mind being moved around….the time to capture those squishy, curly poses. Don’t wait until after your baby arrives! If you do, there is a good chance you won’t be able to get in until they are past this timeframe. Dates fill up quickly, so don’t wait, schedule your newborn session as soon as possible.
