I belong to the National Association of Professional Child Photographers and recently entered some of my images into the 1st Half International Image Competition in June 2010 and received a 1st place and 3rd place awards. I’m extremely excited about this, especially being my first competition! Let me say, there were a lot of gorgeous images entered and I feel very honored to have received these awards. There will be a press release to the local paper coming out soon. I’ll post back when I know the date. You can see the full competition here and view all the beautiful images. I had a wonderful time with Piper & Daniel. This is their first child and are expecting a little boy very soon! Piper is just gorgeous and I loved capturing her beautiful pregnant body. Baby boy was active the whole session and I even got to see him moving around in mommy’s tummy!! Can’t wait to see the little miracle soon!

Everyone says a two or three-year-old has a mind of their own…they’re right! When doing a photo shoot with a toddler, they pretty much run the show. They’re going to do what they want, whether you want them to or not…and if you try to force them, you’re going to lose! Course, if all else fails, candy bribery does work…and I have no problem using it! Toddlers are definitely a challenge and will have you sweating and out of breath by the time you are finished! But ooohhh, it is sooo rewarding! Once you catch that cute lil smile or a moment they are playing, it will be all worth it..and the parents will love you.
And now I introduce to you….Katie the red-haired two-year-old and Ava the curly blonde three-year-old…Two little buddies who just love playing together…love these little girls! Probably cuz Katie is my granddaughter, and Ava is her BFF.. :O)
